Robert and Lois Carr
In 1997 the Carr's began serving in Kenya training African church planters in the Africa Evangelical Presbyterian Church (AEPC). Indigenous church planter mentors and coaches are being taught to do this training as both urban and rural churches continue to multiply across the country. As the Africa Church Planting Specialist, Robert has also done training in Uganda, South Sudan and Zimbabwe. Lois heads a healthcare ministry called Kianga Kids that cares for disadvantaged children in the slums of Nairobi and various rural areas. To assist the mothers of some of these children, she also mangages a self-help initiative called Kianga Crafts. Robert and Lois have four children, Rebekah (1978), Jessica (1981), Stephen (1986) and Andrew (1993) who are all living in the U.S.
