Anna Linhart
In April of 2009, Anna’s third year of teaching 7th graders is nearing the end. God is taking her down a new road, the dirt road that leads to remote Bundibugyo, Uganda. Here she will teach missionary children at Rwenzori School as well seek opportunities to bless the community in Bundibugyo.
Anna grew up in Salisbury, North Carolina. God would start to give her a passion for the world at an early age. In 1991 to 1993, when Anna was 7, her parents worked at a School for missionary kids in Niger, West Africa.
Anna began college at High Point University in 2002. She was involved with the ministry of Campus Crusade where she was given a heart for discipleship, sharing the gospel through relationships. God continued to give Anna a desire to be a part of his work to bless the nations as she attended Urbana mission conference in 2003. After her experiences studying abroad in Oxford, England she was sure she wanted to live cross-culturally some day.
Anna graduated in 2006 with a degree in middle grades education. She embarked on her first teaching experience, 7th grade math and science. Through this hard year God continued to be close. While Anna started to pursue opportunities to teach cross-culturally, God was asking her to wait and grow as a teacher. He had plans to expand her knowledge of the gospel and to show her how to love better, especially crazy teenagers.
Anna is excited to accept the call to go. She hopes with confidence that God will enable her to have the mind of Christ as He left His heavenly home in humility, became an obedient servant, laying down His life, so that that people could know God and be restored by His love.
