Vinny and Cathi DiGloria
Vinny and Cathi DiGloria were introduced to World Harvest Mission (WHM) in 2002 through a short-term mission trip. The Dublin Prayer Conference is an event designed to give indigenous Irish church leaders an opportunity to share their critical needs with American Christians and be prayed for. It was there that God called them to pursue a ministry in full-time missions. They have been with World Harvest Mission since 2003.
The DiGlorias were approaching retirement age when God’s gentle voice called to them. Vinny was literally about 5 years away. They both were looking forward to being able to visit their children and spend time with their grandkids. But God turned all of their expectations up-side-down by calling them to leave their comfort zone for ministry in a foreign culture.
In Romans 1:5, Paul states, “[I am called] to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of His name among all the nations.” God has put a burning passion in our hearts to make His name famous among the nations. John Piper says it so well. “Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t.” Our desire is that God be worshipped as He deserves.
Vinny has years of education and experience as a Christian Counselor. He will use those skills in Ireland to build up the Irish church. Cathi has many years experience and training in discipleship and Bible study with women. Both of them strongly desire for God to be increasingly glorified in Ireland through their work.
They are in the process of raising the support they need to get to the mission field (they can not go until 100% of their on-going support is raised.)
