George and Martha Mixon
George and Martha Mixon haved served in Kenya since 1994. They first worked with the Maasai people on a church planting team where George served as a veterinarian focused on training in animal health care. After George completed seminary, the Mixons returned to Kenya in 2004 to join WHM’s church planter training team. After a couple of years he narrowed his focus onto training in Bible storying. In addition to this, George also now leads the Nairobi team. Martha’s primary ministry is in the home, but also serves through leading and encouraging the women on the WHM team, and in doing women’s ministry through International Christian Fellowship. Two daughters, Beth, a senior, and Carrie, a freshman, are at Covenant College. Jim is in 11th grade, Nathan in 9th grade, and Laura in 4th grade at Rosslyn Academy in Nairobi.
