Kimberly Tipton
Kimberly Tipton was accepted with World Harvest Mission as a missionary to Kenya in 2006. She is presently raising support and hopes to get to Kenya by early 2007. Kimberly grew up in Greenville, South Carolina attending Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church. Her interest in missions began through short–term summer trips with her church. God began planting a dream and a calling in Kimberly during her early years of high school.
Kimberly graduated from Cedarville University with her BSN degree as a nurse in 2001. She went to Kenya during the summer of 2002 for two months to work in the slums of Nairobi. It was at this time, the Lord began directing her paths towards Kenya. Kimberly finished her Masters degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in December, 2005. After a return trip to Kenya in Feb. 2006, the Lord confirmed His call in Kimberly to go to Kenya and serve through medicine the love of Christ.
Kimberly has been in Kenya since 2007, and currently, she uses her nurse practitioner skills in a clinic in an area of Nairobi that is predominantly inhabited by refugees. She has a unique opportunity to serve an unreached people group by providing primary health care, building relationships, and using Bible Storying in a weekly group.
