Elizabeth Beck
Elizabeth was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, but moved at a young age to Toronto, Canada, where her family was involved in a downtown church plant with the PCA. Over the years, God planted and grew a longing in her to be involved in urban kingdom building. After spending a year at Bible college in Northern Ireland, Elizabeth couldn’t shake off the deep desire to reach her generation in the United Kingdom. She returned to Canada, where she studied nursing at Queen’s University, and was involved in discipling other female students. During that time, her parents moved to Germany as missionaries, and Elizabeth had more opportunities to see Europe and feel her heart breaking for that area of the world.
After spending a summer interning with World Harvest in Ireland and doing the Sonship program, Elizabeth knew that her deepest longing was to make much of Jesus in her life, and that she desperately wanted to see her peers know the richness of His saving love. Elizabeth graduated from university in 2008 and has been working as an emergency department nurse in Toronto. She is in the process of raising support to join the MAP team in London, England.
