Drew and Emily Massengill
Drew and Emily Massengill both grew up in Virginia and attended college at James Madison University, where they met in 2005. They were married in June of 2008 and lived and worked in the Harrisonburg area during their first year of marriage.
In August of 2009, Drew and Emily moved to Saint Louis where they both pursued Master of Arts degrees at Covenant Theological Seminary. This time at seminary was transformational for them and sparked much growth in their marriage and enhanced their understanding of God's mission to reconcile all things to himself in Christ.
Emily has had an interest in other cultures for most of her life, and has longed to see people from all nations come to follow Jesus since she came to know him as her Savior at 10 years old. This passion grew and was cultivated through a variety of missions trips and cross-cultural interactions during her high school and college years. Drew's interest in missions developed during his time at James Madison University, and after an internship with World Harvest in Prague, he began to feel that he too might be called to serve the Lord in a culture other than his own.
Shepherd's Bush is a diverse neighborhood located in West London. Drew and Emily are excited to join the Shepherd's Bush team and help establish New City IPC (International Presbyterian Church), a multicultural body that is working to see the love and mercy of God expressed through verbal proclamation and practical deeds of service.
