Ireland Internship

ireland

The WHM team in Ireland is facilitating the planting of churches by national leaders.

The team enables the church planting work to be done, multiplying its effect while at the same time building a strong national church. The work is exciting and God is blessing it.

Your role in this will be to come and meet some of the pastors we are finding who need to be envisioned to plant and shepherd churches. We want you to pray for them and observe the work God is doing here. We also want you to join with them in preaching the Gospel to the lost—on the streets, in the places we visit, and in whatever way the church planters feel will be most effective.

On the one field of Ireland, there are actually two distinct World Harvest teams:

  • The Church Resourcing Team (CRT) is primarily involved in the work of facilitating the national church, as explained above.
  • The Missionary Apprenticeship Program or MAP team, works alongside the CRT, but their primary focus is discipling, training, mentoring and equipping people (both Americans and Irish) to be missionaries or full-time Christian workers.

An intern in Ireland will:

  • Participate in cross-cultural training in Dublin
  • Go through a Sonship discipleship course
  • Experience one-on-one discipling as part of Sonship
  • Participate in an evangelism and exploration team
  • Serve under an Irish church planter
  • Live and work with Irish students from the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students
