Ireland Prayer Walk
ENGAGE Ireland Prayer and Vision Walk 2013

Ireland. It’s a land of ethereal beauty, rich history, and cheerful storytelling. It’s also a country that knows brokenness and conflict in a profound way. The little island credited with saving civilization has much to teach us yet.
Are you drawn to such a place?
Does your heart yearn to be engaged in prayer in and for a place where the spiritual soil is hard?
Are you compelled to explore your own role in bringing the Gospel to this ancient land?
Do you long to see yourself changed, with a greater vision for Kingdom prayer and/or work in the world?
If so, then the WHM-Ireland team invites you to join in its upcoming ENGAGE Prayer Pilgrimage and Vision Walk. On this walking pilgrimage, you’ll journey along the Sheep’s Head Way, a path traveled by Christians who inhabited the land of Ireland centuries ago. You’ll have the opportunity to:
ENCOUNTER Irish pastors and church leaders, who will either walk alongside you or meet you at stops along the way, to share with you both the challenges and the joys of Gospel-ministry in Ireland.
ENCOURAGE the ongoing work of WHM’s 15 missionaries in Ireland (several of whom will walk with you as well), and support the vision toward increased ministry involvement along Ireland’s western coast.
ENGAGE in prayer for the people of Ireland, for local pastors and church leaders, and for the WHM-Ireland team.
EXPERIENCE the majestic beauty and quirky weather of Ireland’s western coast.
ENVISION yourself and others toward deeper involvement with World Harvest in Ireland.
WHM-Ireland is planning this prayer pilgrimage in conjunction with West Cork Walking, a ministry of David and Elizabeth Ross. The Rosses, who run a small cattle farm in West Cork, have been involved in church planting and pastoral work in the area for many years. You can read more about them and West Cork Walking at their website (www.westcorkwalking.com).
* Each day’s journey is about 10 miles along designated walking trails, but there is some built-in flexibility for those unable to walk each day’s full journey.
Who can participate?
Anyone with a vision to pray for Ireland and some ability to walk distances.
