Vienna Church Plant Project

New City Wien is a new church plant in the heart of Vienna, Austria. WHM missionaries Brad and Stacey Hunter began a bible study in their apartment in November 2008 with Austrian and international Christians and non-Christians. In the spring of 2009, they began to pray specifically for a meeting place in the city center near Karlsplatz, the only place in the city where 3 subway lines intersect, near the Technical University, and a short tram ride away from their apartment. God heard their prayers and provided an affordable store front right in their target area. With much help from a US church team and the Vienna summer interns, the WHM Vienna Team was able to open the doors for English Camp this summer and to begin weekly worship this fall. Still, much work remains to be done, such as renovating the bathroom and buying and installing a sound system, worship equipment, office equipment and furniture. In addition to worship services, the facility will be used for bible studies, community groups, coffee house outreaches, concerts, English Camp, study center…and in the future as a Church Planting Training Center. The project has a funding goal of $43,000, which will be used to help establish New City Wien as a strategic gospel presence in the heart of Vienna.

Please consider partnering with us in this exciting phase in the life of New City Wien!
