Women of the Proverbs

An emerging, arts-based, sustainable development project to love and serve the women in Western Uganda.

Purpose

To disciple women in a Bible-based business curriculum while teaching skills in textile arts, so that they can create quality textiles to sell in craft markets throughout Uganda.

Objectives

To give rural Ugandan women:

  • a solid understanding of the gospel
  • the skills to financially support their families
  • the opportunity to mature in relationship with God through the study of His word

Goals

  • Mature chosen women into leaders who understand the centrality of the gospel in their lives
  • Teach a missional understanding of economic development that blesses families and encourages churches
  • Mentor women in the ministry of mercy to the poor and disenfranchised
  • Create beauty by individual self-expression through textile art to the glory of God
