South Sudan Operations Fund
South Sudan, the newest country in the world, has a long and difficult road towards development ahead. Its infrastructure, economy, healthcare, and education system, crippled by war and underdevelopment, are all struggling to rebuild from the ashes, and its people still bear the emotional scars and cultural consequences created by a decades-long legacy of violence, upheaval, and displacement.
Since 2008, our WHM South Sudan team has been able to work alongside the community and church in Mundri in advancing health, education, church development, water projects, agriculture, and counseling, and seeks to bring gospel reconciliation and hope to a people who have suffered 20 years of civil war.
The South Sudan Operations Fund is a key fund allowing the team to live and function in Mundri. It covers day to day expenses, vehicle running costs, cargo shipping, and internet. Operations costs for the team come to approximately $2000 per month. This fund is what makes the gears turn and enables the team to stay and operate in the field.
