World Harvest Mission

Overview

Come to the London borough of Camden this summer and get stuck in with people who hope in Christ, who see the possibilities, who are doing mercy ministry, sharing the gospel through relationships, and nurturing infant church plants. You will live and work in Camden, a place where the disaffected gather to explore alternative lifestyles, Goths, Punks, Ravers, Metal Heads, neo-hippy Pagans and new age Spiritualists.

For two weeks, you will learn about crossing cultures and participate in gospel discipleship training. Then get plugged in with the WHM Camden Team for 5 weeks. There will also be a week of learning about South Asian immigrant culture among Muslims, Hindus, and Sikhs during the London Evangelism and Prayer Conference.

Camden Interns will:

• Assist in the ministry of the WHM church planting team
• Learn about crossing philosophical and cultural divides
• Study and apply principles of grace as they learn to live with and love other people--both believers and unbelievers
• Engage in reflection on the theology of the mission of the church
• Gain experience sharing the gospel cross-culturally through various structured and unstructured relational evangelistic ministries
• Identify with the locals on board the challenging London bus system!
• Worship as part of the church plant community

Intern Ministry may also include:

• Meeting the people of Camden and helping to connect them to the church planters that work there
• Supporting the youth outreach of the church plant
• Volunteering in various mercy ministries
• Engaging in follow-up ministry which flows out of building relationships
• Spending a week serving an English led church plant or ministry, experiencing a different model of missions.
• Helping with the musical worship of the church plant
